Do you know that you will need a passport with at least 6 months validity in order to enter Taiwan? Yup, we found that out at the departure gate 15 minutes prior to boarding, in Los Angeles International Airport! How fun is that? Considered it a lesson learned. All these years of flying back and forth between US and Malaysia, and yet we have not learn all lesson yet, ha! Hopefully that's the last of it.
Due to unforeseen circumstances, we were forced to tour LA for 1 day. Honestly, we had some pretty good time in LA(other than the forgettable experience at the airport). The last time I visited LA was at least 10 years ago, now I have chance to tour it again with mom and Faye, how cool is that?
And I shall capture the typical touristy shots.
Santa Monica Beach - This is one of the most beautiful sunset we have ever seen! The color gradient is so beautiful and amazing!
Santa Monica Downtown & Third Street Promenade - We found this place by chance while we were searching for a restaurant to dine. Beautiful shops and restaurants lined the street with street performers and people walking around and hanging out. We like!

Actually it's my wife's passport but it's my fault as a travel planner for not checking closely - careless...
I'm glad that you like my photos, thank you!

I think we should have at least 6 months passport validity to enter most countries we travel to. I haven't been to US before..it's in my wishlist tho' (o.O)

Luckily realized the passport issue at LA not at Taiwan, or else, i think Faye will be checked in the same hotel room as i have last time.
Best friends must have same experience!!!!

TINTIN - Let me know when you're planning a trip to US, I may be able to tell you where the good deals are. :)
Kwee Hoon - Faye is just trying to experience what you go through in Taipei last time so she can add another lesson to her log book, ha!

I told Emile Zola@life that your photos extremely sharp and clear ! So ,at last she would like to take photo with her camera instead of using a mobile phone!
I was in Oklahoma City attending a three-week residency at Oklahoma City University where I completed coursework such as in a television studio.
I was attracted by Mount Scott and wish to go there again. When?
We went to the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge ! But the worst thing happened to me !The batteries of my camera were "died" !

Bakeling - I'm glad my photos can inspire Zola@life to pick up her digital camera instead of mobile phone for photos. In fact, she did pretty well with the digital camera.
I live in Oklahoma for about 2.5 years when I was in college. I have not been to Mount Scott though, must find time to check it out. Too bad your camera battery dies, you could have share some photos with us.

Your photos are amazing! Feels like I'm there. All of them are great, but my favourite is the first one. Gotta love bw photos aye :)
Shame about Taiwan, I didn't know about the 6 months requirement either. What a bummer :(
Looks like you and your wife had a good time in LA, despite it being a short one. The sunset photo is very romantic.

Hi Cheryl! Thanks for coming by! A compliment on my photos coming from a "sifu" like you definitely make my day!
I like bw photos too but I'm still learning how to get the tone right most of the time...rookie. :)
We definitely had a great time in LA despite the problem we encountered. No matter what, we gotta try to enjoy life a little, right?
